Kickoff post

Well, I suppose this is technically my second attempt at blogging, but I deleted the other one (all 2 posts of it) to spare myself any confusion.

Kickoff is a good title, though, as today I am relaxing at home watching football with my husband. Today's lineup on OUR particular TV will include Texas v. Oklahoma, Georgia v. Tennessee, and Florida v. LSU, plus we may check on a few more just so David can push more buttons on the remote. He's feeling a little under the weather today, so I'm playing the part of nursemaid a bit today. I also have my own non-germy remote control.

I know we're all supposed to keep on striving, keep on going, keep on learning.... today I am learning how to manage my blog.... and pick pretty colors for it! (My fellow UF alumni should appreciate the color scheme here.)

I also learned how to do a video call on Skype; through the magic of the webcam, I was able to have breakfast with my parents and Mallory & Ethan (my niece & nephew). What a treat! What a fun piece of technology.

The day is young, though, so maybe I can learn a little something else too. Perhaps something profound, but then again, perhaps not.
